ラテン語で “things being changed that have to be changed,”
の意味なんだそうだ。

オクスフォードでひいてみたら、
(used when comparing two or more cases or situations) making necessary alterations while not affecting the main point at issue
と書いてありました。終わりの部分が大事なのかもね。
ところで、
＞ex: apply mutatis mutandis.
の ex は「例」のことかな？
これ日本人は全員っていっていいくらい書くんだけど、｢例」として使う場合はe.g.なの。exempli gratia の略。ex だと英語人は別の言葉を想像してしまう。ラテン語つながりでご参考まで～。
